Prasat Beng Mealea (Khmer: ប្រាសាទបឹងមាលា), meaning “lotus pond”, is a Hindu temple built of sandstone to worship Vishnu during the Angkor Wat period (early 12th century). It is located 40 km east of the main group of temples at Angkor, Cambodia, on the ancient royal highway to Preah Khan Kompong Svay. The temple complex lies in ruins and overgrown by trees.
